Differential description of tube axial fan

The main differences between centrifugal fans and axial fans are:

1. The centrifugal fan changes the flow direction of the medium in the air duct, while the axial fan does not change the flow direction of the medium in the air duct;

2. The installation of the former is complex;

3. The motor of the former is generally connected with the fan through the belt to drive the rotating wheel, while the motor of the latter is generally in the fan;

4. The former is often installed at the inlet and outlet of air conditioning units, boiler drums, induced draft fans, etc. The latter is often installed in the middle of the air duct or at the front end of the air duct outlet.

In addition, there are diagonal flow (mixed flow) fans, whose wind pressure coefficient is higher than that of tube axial fans, and the flow coefficient is larger than that of centrifugal fans. It fills the gap between tube axial fan and centrifugal fan. At the same time, it has the characteristics of simple and convenient installation. Mixed flow (or axial impingement) fans combine the characteristics of axial flow and centrifugal fans, although it looks more like traditional tube axial fans.
