In professional laboratories such as life sciences, biopharmaceuticals, disease control, and criminal investigation, PCR amplification experiments, as the most basic experimental content, occupies a pivotal position. In PCR experiments, the effect of sample pretreatment directly affects the subsequent experimental results. How to effectively isolate the potential contamination of test materials by air-soluble living organisms that may exist in the indoor ambient air is the first problem to be solved. Generally, sample pretreatment must be completed in a 100-level (US Federal Standard) or ISO 5-level environment. Preventing cross-contamination between two experiments is another key point that must be considered. After each pretreatment is completed, using short-wave ultraviolet (254 nm) to irradiate pipettes, test tubes, beakers and other experimental equipment for a certain period of time has proven to be an extremely effective and convenient method.

At present, the most commonly used method in actual work is to complete the pre-treatment process of PCR samples in a 100-level ultra-clean workbench or biological safety cabinet. After the experiment is completed, the experimental equipment is irradiated with a built-in or separately prepared ultraviolet lamp for a period of time ( Usually 15 minutes). On the surface, the two necessary conditions required for the pretreatment of PCR samples have been met, but from the perspective of effect and efficiency, especially in the effect of eliminating cross-contamination, the above methods have inherent shortcomings.
