The setting and design of laboratory auxiliary facilities such as the central desk / desk of the laboratory shall ensure the smoothness of the exit and the convenience of the activities in the laboratory. The designer shall divide the laboratory according to the function of the central desk and the location of the main fixed equipment!

1. Classification of test bench

The following principles should be followed for the classification of the test bench:

According to the structure, it can be divided into fixed test bench and combined test bench.

(1) Fixed test bench:

There are many forms of fixed test-bed, which is still widely used in China. The common countertops and brick supports are made of reinforced concrete structures. Wooden utensils are used under the countertops. White tiles, terrazzo, marble or natural granite are used on the countertops. This kind of laboratory is durable, high-temperature resistant and stable. It is often used in the platform, high-temperature furnace and light measuring instrument.

(2) Combined test bench:

Depending on its own structural form, it is divided into several independent parts, made separately, and then combined together. Its advantages make it possible to flexibly arrange laboratories, facilitate transportation and facilitate serial production.

——According to the layout form, it is divided into I-shaped, L-shaped, peninsula shaped and island shaped (see Figure);

The I-shaped test bench is suitable for small laboratory or large laboratory side bench:

① The L-shaped test bench is arranged in parallel with the two adjacent walls of the laboratory, and the maintenance channel is reserved;

② The central laboratory platform can be of island type, which is convenient for staff activities and can quickly access to emergency equipment or exits. When there are definite exits on both sides or both ends of the laboratory, the peninsula shaped laboratory platform can be used.

※ in the natural lighting laboratory, the test bench and the external wall with lighting windows should not be arranged in parallel. For the laboratory with large depth, the plane layout of peninsula type and I-shaped test bench at right angles to the external wall should be adopted, and the I-shaped test bench should not be set under the window.

2. Specification and use of the test bench:

The table height of the test bench should be 800 mm - 900 mm, the width of the single-sided test bench should be 650 mm - 800 mm, and the width of the double-sided test bench should be 1500 mm. The length should be determined according to the specific requirements of the experiment.

(1) Length

The length of the test bench required by each experimenter varies greatly depending on the nature of the experiment. For experiments, 1200 mm per person should be considered, and the minimum should not be less than 1000 mm, while the organic chemistry experimental platform should be considered to be longer, and 1400 mm - 1600 mm is preferable. The length of each person of the teaching experimental platform in the United States is 1220mm-1750mm. The length of the experimental platform required by the scientific research personnel shall consider the specific requirements of the scientific research personnel for the experiments they are engaged in. In the United States, it is 3500 mm-4000 mm per person, and in Germany and Switzerland, it is 3000 mm per person.

(2) Table height

Generally, it should be 850mm high. If the proportion of male experimenters is high, it can also be considered to be 900mm. For some special experimental work, it can also be made low, for example, it is about 750mm high. The height of the test bench in the United States and Germany is 900mm-920mm, and that in Japan is 800mm.

(3) Width

The clear width of each side of the test bench should generally be considered to be 750mm, and the minimum should not be less than 600mm. The drug rack on the bench can be considered to be 200-300mm wide. The net width of each side of the American test bench is 584mm, and that of both sides is 1470mm. The British double-sided test bench is 1530mm, and the German double-sided test bench is 1550mm-1700mm. It is recommended that the double-sided test bench is 1500mm and the single-sided test bench is 650-850mm.

3. Bench top:

4. Side table of test bench:

4. Test bench spacing:

The clear distance between the side test benches arranged against the walls on both sides shall not be less than 1.50M. When the detox cabinet or experimental instruments and equipment are arranged on one side of the wall, the net distance between the cabinet and the laboratory on the other side shall not be less than 1.80m.

For a conventional laboratory composed of one standard unit, the clear distance between the side test bench arranged on both sides of the wall and the island type or peninsula type central test bench arranged in the middle of the room shall not be less than 1.50M.

When arranging the detoxification cabinet or experimental instruments and equipment, the clear distance between the cabinet and the test bench shall not be less than 1.80m, and the clear distance between the end of the test bench and the walkway wall shall not be less than 1.20m.
